World Heritage Site
On 26th June 2009, the Dolomites were added to the UNESCO World Heritage Site list. The Pale Mountains are an unspoilt paradise that is unique the world over, offering breath-taking panoramic views and majestic, peaceful feelings of tranquillity. In the evening, when the sun goes down, the peaks and rocky crests are tinged with pink, creating stunning colour effects between the sky and the earth. The mountain backdrop of myths and legends has for centuries cast its spell on all those who visit the area, creating, together with the Ladin culture and its traditions, an enchanting atmosphere in which to enjoy a holiday.
